The Martin Memorial Lecture honors the memory of Franklin H. Martin, MD, FACS, who was the driving force in the founding of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). This Lecture, which is sponsored by the American Urological Association, and presented during the official Opening Ceremony of the annual Clinical Congress, has been delivered by various Nobel laureates, scientists, scholars, and authors from here and abroad, as well as educators and statesmen on topics of wide general interest related to medicine or public policy. Speaker selection alternates between the Honors Committee and the ACS Advisory Council for Urology.
Recommendations of presenters and topics for the Martin Memorial Lecture should be emailed directly to Ken Puttbach at kputtbach@facs.org. A nomination form is not required.
