NAPBC Workshop: Bringing the Standards to Life

March 12, 2025, 1:00–5:30 pm

Optimal Resources for Breast Care 2024 (NAPBC standards) were implemented by NAPBC-accredited breast centers at the beginning of 2024. During the workshop, NAPBC leaders and ACS staff will provide an in-depth review of the development of and requirements for the standards, share successes and challenges with breast center experience with implementation, and outline best practices to prepare for a successful site visit and accreditation outcome under the 2024 standards.

Objectives

At the end of the workshop, attendees will be able to:

  • Discuss the requirements for the new NAPBC accreditation standards, Optimal Resources for Breast Care, and the changes needed to the structure and processes of their NAPBC-accredited center.
  • Outline the implementation experiences of centers during 2024.
  • Design an implementation strategy that will prepare their NAPBC-accredited center for a successful transition to the new standards, and experience a positive site visit and accreditation outcome.
