The ACS Division of Education and its Surgical Ergonomics Committee will host the third ACS Surgical Ergonomics Hands-On Clinic for practicing surgeons and surgery residents during Clinical Congress 2024, October 20–22.
The Surgical Ergonomics Clinic will be located in the Exhibit Hall and feature three simulation stations with open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery equipment to offer hands-on learning experiences in surgical ergonomics. Ergonomic coaches will help participating surgeons learn about the recently revised ACS Surgical Ergonomics Recommendations and apply the recommendations in a simulated environment at each station. In addition, a certified physical therapist will share different stretching exercise protocols that can be implemented in the operating room, between cases, or at home. This unique, hands-on learning opportunity with the Surgical Ergonomics Recommendations is part in our overall effort to positively impact ergonomic challenges experienced by surgeons worldwide.
A 1-hour timeslot reserved for up to 20 of your practicing surgeons and surgical trainees at the ACS Surgical Ergonomics Hands-On Clinic hosted at the 2024 ACS Clinical Congress. After this, individual surgeon registration will open, so your desired time may not be available. We highly recommend you reserve your institutional spot before June 30. If you want to have more than 20 surgeons trained, you are welcome to reserve two or more 1-hour timeslots.
