Ultrasound Education

The National Ultrasound Faculty (NUF) has approved a series of ultrasound courses to be made available for export at other venues. By exporting ultrasound courses, practicing residents and surgeons can learn new skills at their location that may be directly applicable to their practice.

Prerequisite

The National Ultrasound Faculty (NUF) of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) has developed the Ultrasound Essentials for Surgeons (USES) course for physicians and medical professionals in ultrasound imaging. This online on-demand course provides the learner with basic education and training in ultrasound imaging as a foundation for specific clinical applications. In addition to being a prerequisite, this course is also available for purchase as a stand-alone course.
