The Hawaii Chapter of the American College of Surgeons was organized for the following purposes:
a) To promote and advance the education, quality, character and integrity of surgeons in Hawaii, supporting them in their continual efforts to provide superior medical care to the people of Hawaii;
b) to hold itself responsible for, and to use its best efforts, to maintain the objectives of the American College of Surgeons;
c) to welcome new members of the College (Fellows, Residents, Associate members, and Affiliate members) into the Hawaii Chapter, all the while developing stronger relationships with local members of the College and acquainting them with the objectives of the American College of Surgeons;
d) to stimulate interest in the College among those members of the different health care professions;
e) and to assist in providing the people of Hawaii with surgical and hospital facilities of the highest ethical and professional standard.
