While injury prevention and outreach is a mandate of all trauma centers, working with both hospital and loco-regional programs for the health of the community should be in the mission and skill set of all surgeons. More about Shannon Foster
Shannon Foster, MD, FACS, is a general surgeon in West Reading, PA. She is the director of clinical services for the trauma and general surgery division, Reading Hospital, and an assistant professor of surgery for the University of Pennsylvania. She attended the University of Toledo College of Medicine, and did her residency and fellowship at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education. She holds two board certifications from the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. Dr. Foster is the president-elect for the ACS Keystone Chapter.
