Dr. Shaneeta Johnson, is an associate professor of surgery, director of minimally invasive, robotic, and bariatric surgery, and program director, general surgery residency program at Morehouse School of Medicine and Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. She is also a senior fellow of global health equity in the Satcher Health Leadership Institute.
She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons. Dr. Johnson currently serves on the board of the Georgia Chapter the American College of Surgeons as the women’s surgeon representative. She is also a member of the Young Fellows Association Governing Gouncil of the American College of surgeons. She serves as a liaison to the Board of Governors International work group and the Health Policy and Advocacy Council. Dr. Johnson currently leads he YFA mentoring program of the American College of Surgeons.
Shubha Dhage, MD, FACS is the chief of breast surgery and director for the Breast Health Program at NYU Perlmutter Cancer Center-Winthrop. She is an associate professor of surgery at the NYU School of Grossman and NYU LISOM. She has conducted workshops on mentorship and leadership. She was the director of the YFA mentoring program. She is an active member of the ACS—she serves on the YFA Governing Council, Committee on Diversity Issues, and NY ACS Chapter BOD. She is a researcher, patient advocate, and surgery educator. She holds several national leadership positions including on the CDC Young Women with Breast Cancer Advisory Committee, COC, and YSC. She has conducted research and published on cancer genomics, health literacy, cancer disparities, and young women with breast cancer.
