This activity is designed for practicing surgeons. Regular reading of ACS Case Reviews in Surgery should enable learners to:
To be eligible for ACS Case Reviews in Surgery continuing medical education (CME) credit, you must have an active subscription to ACS Case Reviews in Surgery. CME credit is not retroactive. If you are a new subscriber, eligibility begins with the current issue.
You must complete the posttest to earn CME credit. When completed, the correct answer for each question and score are provided. Date completed and percent correct appear on your CME test index page.
The posttest is taken after reading ACS Case Reviews in Surgery and confers AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. The four multiple-choice posttests must be completed after reading the issue. You can save your progress on the posttest and complete it later. You have two attempts to select the correct answer, after which time the answer and supporting documentation from the issue are reviewed. The score that appears on your CME test index page is based on the percentage answered correctly after the second attempt.
After completing four mandatory evaluation questions per test, your CME credits will be posted automatically to the ACS MyCME database. You can view your transcript by clicking the View CME button at the bottom of CME test index page or on the ACS MyCME page. You can print certificates for individual tests from their online transcript.
