SRGS Resident Subscription Instructions

  1. Review the fee structure for SRGS Resident subscriptions.

    To take advantage of the discount for American College of Surgeons (ACS) members, submit ACS Resident Member applications to ACS Member Services and appropriate fees at least two weeks before your anticipated SRGS Resident subscription start date. Lapsed memberships are easily reinstated by completing the Reinstatement Form and paying the fee.Membership fees must be paid independently of the Resident subscription payment. Make your membership payment check out to: American College of Surgeons.

    The PGY1 membership year is free; all other resident members are $20 per year.

  2. Once your membership forms have been processed, download and complete the Resident subscription order form. Submit the order form via e-mail or fax; however, we prefer the list of residents be sent to ACS by e-mail in an attached Word or Excel file (include complete name, ACS ID#, if known, and e-mail address). E-mail addresses are mandatory. Log-in information is sent by e-mail.

  3. Check or credit card can be used for payment. If the amount due differs from the amount on the check, you will be invoiced for the balance due. If you prefer an invoice to initiate payment at your institution, send the order form minus the payment information and request that an invoice be prepared.
    If paying by check, please make payable in U.S. dollars to ACS–SRGS. Include order number in the check detail. Mail to:

  4. When payment is received, your order will be processed within five business days. Applying the payment to the order will activate the subscription. A confirmation of payment, including a list of all subscribers, will be e-mailed to the Resident Coordinator. A “Welcome to SRGS” e-mail will be sent to all subscribers: this e-mail includes personalized log-in information for each subscriber.

About Renewals

In the month preceding the program’s renewal date, the program coordinator on file will receive an e-mail with the current subscription roster. The coordinator is asked to update the list with residents for the coming academic year. Follow Step 1 for new residents to take advantage of the pricing discount. Once membership status is confirmed, an invoice will be generated. New residents can be substituted at any time for residents leaving the program if the subscription is still active.
