State of Washington Enacts Law Mandating Bleeding Control Equipment in Schools

April 2, 2024

A new law in the State of Washington, signed last Friday, will require bleeding control kits in schools, beginning with the 2026–2027 school year. The ACS and surgeons working with the STOP THE BLEED® program, including Drs. Bryce Robinson and Eileen Bulger—both from Seattle—applaud the multidisciplinary effort to get this legislation across the finish line.
