New Practice Management Resources Provide Financial Planners and Detail Closing a Practice

August 22, 2023

The ACS Practice Management web page was recently updated with information on two topics of use for surgeons, including those in private practice: Certified financial planners and considerations for closing a practice.

Certified Financial Planners. The ACS has added information and links to four certified financial planning firms that have expressed interest in working with ACS Fellows to evaluate the current state of their personal financial affairs and assist with them in planning a secure financial future:

  • CMG Financial Consulting
  • Aptus
  • Woodley Farra Manion
  • My Financial Coach

Considerations for Closing a Practice. The ACS has added broadly useful information for surgeons who elect to close their private practice, who have many priorities to consider: engaging with numerous entities that govern a practice; the various components that make up the daily life of that practice, including managing patients and their records and office staff; and timing concerns.
