International Surgeons: Check Out Observership Opportunities on ACS Website

The 52 international chapters of the ACS and the International Relations Committee (IRC) are committed to providing educational opportunities for the international surgical community. Through the combined efforts of both groups, an ongoing list of observerships worldwide is available on the ACS website.   

The Observership Database is compiled from institutions and organizations around the world that are interested in and able to host observers. The information provided includes the location, point person to contact, requirements, surgical specialty targeted, and timeframe for the observership. Interested international surgeons are encouraged to view the database and share these opportunities with colleagues, trainees, members, and others, as appropriate.  

The Observership Database is a living, evolving list. If you are part of an organization/institution interested in hosting observerships or have questions regarding the database, contact the ACS Administrator, International Affairs and Scholarships, at scholarships@facs.org.
