Transplant Surgery Surgical Director Opportunity – Loyola University, Maywood, IL

The Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC) Department of Surgery and the Division of Intra-Abdominal Transplantation are seeking an outstanding, highly motivated Transplant Surgeon to become the Surgical Director of the Liver Transplant Program located in Maywood, IL.

The transplant program at LUMC has demonstrated an annual growth for the last 3 years and is a member in good standing for liver, kidney, and pancreas transplantation. To support the growth and fulfill the educational mission of LUMC, an ASTS Transplant Surgery Fellowship was established in 2020 to expand on the Institution's educational mission.

The selected candidate will be expected to support outreach activities conducive to expanding and promoting the Liver Transplant Program. The expectation for the candidate includes an active participation in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows, administrative responsibilities related to the liver transplant program, and outstanding outcomes in clinical care supporting the Institution's academic mission.

The selected candidate will also participate in developing policy, procedures to meet regulatory standards, and be actively involved in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives.
