Natural disasters can significantly impact the OR, and with extreme weather events increasing around the world, it is important that surgeons understand how to manage clinical care among challenging circumstances.

Join the International Relations Committee (IRC) for a free webinar on April 17, 3:00–4:00 pm US CT, wherein panelists will discuss the effect of natural disasters on patterns of acute surgical presentations and the role of the surgeon in disaster response.

A recent article in the ACS Bulletin, “New Collaborative Aims to Reduce Impact of Climate-Driven Disasters on Cancer Care,” also addresses this topic. If you’re interested in more discussions of interest to international surgeons, check out all past IRC webinar recordings.
