Clinical Congress 2022

Three-Part Surgical Skills Courses at Clinical Congress 2022 Will Keep Learners Engaged

May 3, 2022

Clinical Congress 2022 will offer attendees 17 Surgical Skills Courses, incorporating best practices in education and training and using a three-part longitudinal approach.

Part 1 coursework made available a few weeks before the Clinical Congress. Part 2 will feature a hands-on skills lab. Part 3 will consist of a live Zoom panel discussion several weeks after the Clinical Congress. This multipart approach will enable learning activities to be spaced over an extended period to promote reflection, application, and retention of course content, as well as to provide participants with more opportunities to interact with the course faculty.

The 17 Skills Courses are:

  • Building a Comprehensive Anti-Reflux Center with Diagnostic and Therapeutic Capabilities in a Rural Setting
  • Advanced Robotic Surgery for Complex Abdominal Cancers
  • Advanced Surgical Skills for Exposure in Trauma (ASSET™)
  • The Basics of Therapeutic Upper GI Endoscopy for the Practicing General Surgeon
  • Endoscopic Management of Upper GI Bleeding for the Acute Care Surgeon
  • Thyroid, Parathyroid, and Neck Ultrasound
  • Laparoscopic Common Bile Duct Exploration: What Every General Surgeon Should Know
  • Fundamentals of Oncoplastic Breast Surgery

  • Endoscopic Management of Bariatric Surgery Complications
  • Advanced Critical Care Ultrasound Skills Course
