Apply to Join ACS Committee on Diversity Issues to Address Healthcare Disparities

The ACS Committee on Diversity Issues is accepting applications for new members. Applications are due Wednesday, June 15.

The mission of the committee is to study the educational and professional needs of underrepresented surgeons and surgical trainees and the impact that its work may have on eliminating healthcare disparities among diverse population groups. New members should have experience in engaging and leading individuals in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) work. Members should have knowledge, expertise, and available time to develop and support programming with a DEI lens in the following areas: LGBTQIA+, underrepresented in medicine, leadership development, and professional development; and leadership experience connected with DEI.
