ACS Resident Members and other surgical trainees are invited to submit abstracts for the 3rd Annual Advocacy and Health Policy Abstract Competition that will be held during the 2025 Leadership & Advocacy Summit, April 5–8 in Washington, DC.

If their submission is selected, abstract authors can attend and present their abstract during the Leadership Summit on Sunday, April 6, and receive a $500 Resident Travel Award to help defray travel costs. In addition, awards for the top three abstracts will be announced Tuesday morning, April 8, before the Capitol Hill Visits.

ACS chapters in the United States are encouraged to promote this opportunity to their resident and trainee members. Chapters interested in holding a local competition may submit abstracts for consideration. Abstracts submitted through a chapter competition will have priority.

Visit the competition webpage further details and to apply.

Submissions are due by November 15, 2024, to aclaire@facs.org.
