Clinical Congress 2023

Access More than 100 Clinical Congress 2023 Sessions On Demand through Virtual Platform

October 31, 2023

More than 12,000 surgeons, trainees, and affiliated healthcare professionals attended last week’s Clinical Congress 2023 in Boston, Massachusetts, both in-person and virtually, to take part in a comprehensive surgical education experience. And although the conference is over, you can still take advantage of much of the compelling content, which remains available to registrants—in-person, virtual, and post-conference—through the on-demand virtual platform.

All registrants can access the following until May 1, 2024:

  • 97 Panel Sessions, including popular sessions how AI can predict postoperative risk, the widening gap between data and practice in diverticulitis, 10 hot topics in general surgery, the inaugural Great Debates session on treatment of inguinal hernia and cholecystitis, and many more
  • 11 Named Lectures, including the Martin Memorial Lecture by Dr. Gordon Telford that examines the history of the College’s founder, the Scudder Oration by Dr. Edward Cornwell III that shows the power of trauma to bridge gaps in equitable care, and more
  • 3 Special Sessions focusing on acquisition of new surgical skills by practicing surgeons, surgeons as leaders in firearm injury prevention, and the ACS Power of Quality Campaign

The content provides a significant amount of CME, with 182.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits available to virtual and on-demand registrants, while in-person attendees can claim up to 201.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. In addition, several sessions can be used as credit to address state regulatory mandates and ACS accreditation/verification requirements. The deadline to claim all credit is May 1, 2024.
