International Trauma Surgeons: Apply for ACS/AAST Scholarship

Surgeons outside the US and Canada who are seeking to grow their education on the standards for a trauma program and the importance of multidisciplinary acute care surgery care are invited to apply for the ACS/American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST) International Scholarship. Applications are due by Friday, November 3, 2023.

The scholarship of $5,000 provides the scholar with an opportunity to attend the AAST annual meeting, for which they will receive complimentary registration and access to one available postgraduate course. In addition, the funds will be used to arrange a visit at one or two Level I Trauma Centers in the US or Canada.

Assistance will be provided to obtain preferential housing in economical hotels in the AAST meeting and Trauma Center/TQIP cities. Hotel and travel expenses will be the responsibility of the awardee, to be funded from the scholarship award.
