Dr. Sachdeva receives honors for surgical education

Dr. Ajit K. Sachdeva, Director of the ACS Division of Education, is recognized for his work in surgical education.

Ajit K. Sachdeva, MD, FACS, FRCSC, FSACME, Director, American College of Surgeons (ACS) Division of Education, recently received two honors for accomplishments in surgical education, as follows:

  • Dr. Sachdeva was presented the 2019 Maestro Award by the Institute for Surgical Excellence (ISE) at the 2019 Robotic Surgery Credentialing Consensus Conference in Orlando, FL, recognizing him as “an exemplary individual who is not only a remarkable thought leader but also an expert in the field, able to think outside the box with invigorated goals and ideas.”

  • Dr. Sachdeva was invited to deliver the 2019 J. Roland Folse, MD, FACS, Lecture during the Annual Meeting of the Association for Surgical Education (ASE), in Chicago, IL. The lecture was titled “Surgical Education: From Novelty to Necessity.”
