Webinars Explore Social Determinants of Health

Social determinants of health can pose barriers to individualized, timely, and equitable access to cancer care, especially for socially disadvantaged patients. Oncology patient navigation can help overcome health system and patient barriers and facilitate timely access to quality health care. A webinar series hosted by the American Cancer Society will focus on the importance of screening; processes for developing workflow, tracking tools and documentation; and the practice of navigating patients to address barriers to care. The third and final webinar is scheduled for 11:00 am CT on January 23; registrants will have access to recordings of previous webinars in the series.
