JACS Authors Discuss Study on Influence of Medicaid Expansion on Breast Cancer Care

Little research has looked at the impact of Medicaid expansion on a state-by-state basis for breast cancer care, especially in the southern US, where some states have expanded but most have not. A new study from the Journal of the American College of Surgeons (JACS) indicates that Medicaid expansion in those states has led to earlier diagnosis, which is critical for long-term survival.
