ACS Offers Colorectal Cancer Resources

March 23, 2023

As we continue to recognize Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month throughout March, the ACS Office of Public Information has produced videos featuring the voices of several ACS expert surgeons. In the videos, the surgeons explore multiple topics related to colorectal cancer treatment and prevention, including tips on how patients can overcome any fears associated with colorectal cancer screening, as well as understanding different surgical options available to those who are diagnosed with colorectal cancer. For Spanish-speaking patients, Roberto Rodriguez-Ruesga, MD, FACS, FASCRS of Texas Oncology offered his perspective on what patients should know about colorectal cancer in Spanish. More content is available at the ACS fact page on colorectal cancer.

In addition, the CoC and the NAPRC are providing resources that accredited programs can use to promote colorectal cancer awareness and the importance of screening. Approved users at CoC and NAPRC accredited programs can access the resources by logging into QPort. Use the left navigation bar and click on the resources link. The marketing resources are located under the site visit resources section. For assistance accessing these materials send an e-mail to CoC@facs.org.
