April 4, 2024

A recent article in The New York Times explored the rising rates of colorectal cancer among people younger than 50 years. Citing the recently published American Cancer Society’s Cancer Facts & Figures 2024, the article reported that rates of colorectal cancer are rising rapidly among people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s, while incidence is declining in people over the age of 65. Additional information on the rise of colorectal cancer in younger adults and the ACS National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer is available on the ACS website.
