In a new article recently published in Clinical Lung Cancer, “A National Survey of Surgeons Evaluating the Accuracy of Mediastinal Lymph Node Identification,” authors from the ACS Cancer Research Program (CRP) surveyed cardiac, thoracic, and general surgeons assessing implementation of Commission on Cancer (CoC) Standard 5.8.

Flavio Rocha, MD, FACS, has been named the chair of the CSSP Standards Development Committee. Dr. Rocha is a professor of surgery and the Hugh and Georgeina Hedinger Chair in Surgical Oncology at the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland.
