April 20, 2023
May is Melanoma Awareness Month and May 1 is Melanoma Monday. Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the US; in 2023, an estimated 97,610 new cases of melanoma of the skin will be diagnosed in the US according to the American Cancer Society.
Help raise awareness in your community regarding the dangers of unprotected UV exposure, which is the most preventable skin cancer risk factor. To support your outreach efforts, the CoC is providing posters, social media, and electronic signature graphics. These are important resources that allow you to promote your CoC accreditation and your commitment to educating your community on ways to reduce melanoma risk.
