Medical Director, ACS Cancer Programs

The world of pediatric oncology has defined and implemented a systematic survivorship approach that helps survivors with challenges they face from the long-term effects of their cancer and cancer treatments. ACS Cancer Programs believes now is the time to build a similar survivorship approach for adult cancer survivors and we need your help.

The first step in this journey toward building a survivorship approach for adults is to understand the needs of survivors and to learn about the services and support that already exist. Since the Commission on Cancer (CoC) introduced Standard 4.8: Survivorship Program in 2021, we believe now is the time to survey CoC-accredited programs and catalogue the various recognized needs and the services and support that are available and effective.

Please help us advance the survivorship agenda. Later today, an anonymous survey will be sent out from REDCap@facs.org to all eligible CoC Cancer Programs Administrators.
