CoC Paper Competition Is Accepting Submissions through July 9

May 16, 2024

The CoC is accepting submissions from physicians in training for the 2024 Research Paper Competition. Categories for submission are Clinical Research and Basic Science. The first-place winners will receive a $1,000 honorarium plus an opportunity to present their papers at the CoC’s October 19 Plenary Session in San Francisco. Second- and third-place winners will each receive $500.

More information on eligibility, requirements, and awards is available on the CoC website. Send submissions to mleeb@facs.org by July 9.

New Prostate Cancer Awareness Month Marketing Tools Available

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. According to the American Cancer Society Cancer Facts & Figures 2023, there will be an estimated 288,300 new cases of prostate cancer diagnosed in the US and 34,700 men will die from the disease this year.
