June 27, 2024

The CSSP, in collaboration with the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons (AAES), hosted an educational webinar on the technical standards for thyroid surgery on May 20, 2024. This recorded webinar is now available on the ACS learning management system and eligible for Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits. This webinar recording discusses evidence-based operative standards for the performance of thyroid surgery as outlined in the Operative Standards for Cancer Surgery, Volume 2. This course includes preoperative considerations for surgical planning, standards for thyroidectomy and lymphadenectomy, and insights into clinical management of thyroid cancer through case study review.

The Technical Standards for Thyroid Cancer Surgery course is applicable to general surgeons, surgical oncologists, otolaryngologists, and trainees with an interest in thyroid cancer surgery.  Please share this information with the relevant members at your facility.
