National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer

NAPRC Welcomes New Member Organizations

Two new member organizations have recently joined the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC):

The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) represents more than 10,000 members who specialize in treating patients with radiation therapy.

The Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) is a professional association that represents 100,000 nurses and is the professional home to more than 35,000 members.

The NAPRC Member Organizations are dedicated to a collaborative process to help  patients with rectal cancer receive appropriate care using a multidisciplinary approach. Organizations interested in NAPRC membership can apply using the online application.

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. According to the American Cancer Society Cancer Facts & Figures 2023, there will be an estimated 288,300 new cases of prostate cancer diagnosed in the US and 34,700 men will die from the disease this year.
