New CoC Operative Standards Resources Are Available for ODS-Certified Professionals

The Cancer Surgery Standards Program (CSSP), Commission on Cancer (CoC), and the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) recently collaborated on a webinar tailored to the needs of ODS-certified professionals. The resources discussed during the webinar are now available on the Operative Standards Toolkit.

The Operative Standards Toolkit includes a recording of the webinar, a summary of the Frequently Asked Questions and Best Practices, as well as a new CoC Operative Standards Tracking Form.

The CoC Operative Standards Tracking Form was created to aid CoC accredited sites in monitoring compliance. The form includes an overall compliance dashboard, a tracker for each Operative Standard, and other helpful tips. If you have any questions, contact CSSP@facs.org.

New Prostate Cancer Awareness Month Marketing Tools Available

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. According to the American Cancer Society Cancer Facts & Figures 2023, there will be an estimated 288,300 new cases of prostate cancer diagnosed in the US and 34,700 men will die from the disease this year.
