CSSP Webinar: Technical Standards for Breast Cancer Surgery

September 7, 2023

The Cancer Surgery Standards Program (CSSP), in collaboration with the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), will host Technical Standards for Breast Cancer Surgery: Utilizing Operative Standards in a Changing Clinical Landscape at 5:00 pm CT on September 12. Speakers at the webinar will discuss evidence-based operative standards for the performance of partial mastectomy, total mastectomy, axillary lymphadenectomy, and sentinel lymphadenectomy as outlined in the Operative Standards for Cancer Surgery (OSCS) Volume 1. The speakers will also review the rationale supporting these recommendations. The discussion will include insights into the clinical management of breast cancer and applicable controversies.

All surgeons attending the webinar will receive continuing medical education credits. We encourage staff at Commission on Cancer (CoC)-accredited cancer programs to share this information with surgeons, trainees, and fellows with an interest in breast cancer surgery. Registration is required to attend this webinar.
