CoC Standards Updates

The CoC has released an updated version of its accreditation standards, Optimal Resources for Cancer Care (2020 Standards). Please review the CoC Standards and CoC Standards Changelog for complete information on these updates. A few of the most substantive updates are featured below. The updated standards and changelog are now available on the CoC website.

Standard 4.4 – Genetic Counseling and Risk Assessment

Approved Genetic Professional Credentials: The list of approved credentials has been aligned between CoC Standard 4.4 and NAPBC Standard 4.4 and updated to use consistent descriptions. Please review Standard 4.4 in the updated manual for more information. No changes have been made to the compliance requirements for this standard.

Operative Standards: Standard 5.3 – 5.6

Operative Report Requirements: This section has been updated with more concise wording in each of the four operative standards. No changes have been made to the compliance requirements for these standards.
