October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. According to the American Cancer Society 2023 Key Statistics for Breast Cancer:

  • 297,790 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women
  • 55,720 new cases of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) will be diagnosed
  • 43,700 women will die from breast cancer

In an effort to support outreach activities and increase awareness of breast cancer within your program and your community, the Commission on Cancer (CoC)  and the National Accreditation for Breast Centers (NAPBC) have developed resources to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Staff at CoC and/or NAPBC-accredited programs can access the materials on the Quality Portal (Qport):

  • Login into QPort with your username and password
  • In the left navigation column, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Resources
  • Scroll to the bottom of the Resources page and click on Marketing Resources

Contact CoC@facs.org with any questions.
