Reminder: Complete the Cancer Programs SDOH Screening Survey

October 31, 2024

The CoC and ACS Cancer Research Program recently sent out a Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Screening Survey to CoC-accredited institutions to understand current SDOH screening practices used by CoC-accredited institutions in the outpatient setting to meet the non-medical needs of their patients. Responses will provide critical information to increase our understanding of how the needs of diverse cancer populations can be best identified and addressed.

Thank you to those who have already completed the survey. We appreciate your time and participation. If you have not yet completed the survey, the survey will remain open until November 25.

An email was sent out to the Cancer Program Administrator at each CoC-accredited facility from REDCap@facs.org. For Integrated Network Cancer Program sites, please fill out separate surveys for each child program in your network. Your feedback is extremely valuable; please submit the survey so your program’s experience with SDOH screening is represented. No incentives, including credit for any CoC standard, will be provided for participation in the survey.

Read the July/August ACS Bulletin for more information on the role of SDOH screening on cancer outcomes. If you have questions, reach out to cancerresearchprogram@facs.org.
