November 2, 2023

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month. This annual event is devoted to increasing awareness of lung cancer and reminding people about the value of early screening.

According to the American Cancer Society 2023 Key Statistics for Lung Cancer:

  • 238,340 new cases of lung cancer will be diagnosed in 2023 (117,550 in men and 120,790 in women)
  • More than 127,000 Americans are expected to die from lung cancer (67,160 in men and 59,910 in women).

In an effort to support your outreach activities and increase awareness of lung cancer within your program and your community, the CoC is providing your program with Lung Cancer Awareness Month graphics.

Staff at CoC-accredited programs can access the materials on the Quality Portal (Qport):

  • Log-in into QPort with your username and password
  • In the left navigation column, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Resources
  • Scroll to the bottom of the Resources page and click on Marketing Resources
