Plan to Attend ACS Cancer Conference: Where Cancer Care Comes Together

The first in-person Cancer Programs conference since the start of the pandemic, ACS Cancer Conference: Where Cancer Care Comes Together, will be held March 1–4, 2023, at the Hilton Atlanta in GA. All members of the cancer team are encouraged to attend the conference, including:

  • Physicians from all specialties who provide care to patients with cancer
  • Advanced practice providers
  • Allied health professionals
  • Administrators
  • Nurses
  • Program coordinators
  • Cancer registrars

Content for the conference will address the following topics:

  • New NAPBC standards
  • Updates to CoC and NAPRC standards and Rapid Cancer Reporting System quality measures and reporting
  • Recommendations for accreditation site visit preparation
  • New American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) staging standards and protocols, including the use of AJCC and other tools
  • Quality Improvement fundamentals and information on the newly formed Cancer National Quality Improvement Collaborative
  • Clarification on the new operative standards and synoptic operative reports from the Cancer Surgery Standards Program to help prepare for the 2023 rollout (There will be an opportunity to ask the experts for guidance.)
  • Future directions of the CoC and Clinical Research Program
