National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer

Updated NAPRC Application Requirements Effective January 1, 2023

Applicant programs for the NAPRC will be required to have performed 10 rectal cancer surgical resections over a 12-month period. Transanal excisions, excisions, and polypectomies do not count toward this total.

This requirement applies to any initial application submitted for accreditation after January 1, 2023. During the application process, applicants will need to provide the number of rectal cancer surgical resections performed during the previous past calendar year, and the total must meet or exceed 10 to proceed through the application process.

This requirement does not apply to any current applicants or programs that have already achieved accreditation.
