The Annual ACS Surgeons and Engineers: A Dialogue on Surgical Simulation meeting will return as a virtual full-day meeting on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. The speakers are planning to present live on the virtual platform. The meeting will begin at 9:00 am and end at 5:30 pm CT. Details will follow.
The meeting serves as a venue for surgeons, engineers, educators, scientists, and Annual ACS Surgical Simulation Summit attendees to continue the dialogue between the medical simulation and engineering communities. The theme of the 2021 meeting is a successful collaboration between surgeons and engineers. Dr. Russell Taylor at Johns Hopkins University is the keynote speaker. During a special panel, surgeons and engineers will share their experience in establishing a successful collaborative relationship between surgeons and engineers. In addition to the oral and poster presentations, a breakout session will discuss three critical potential challenges in surgeon-engineer collaboration.
Through this exchange, we endeavor to promote future collaboration between the surgical and engineering communities.
