Find a Surgeon

Search Tips

In the name field, you can search on:

  • First name only
  • Last name only
  • First and last name
  • Last name followed by a comma and first name or first initial

The public Find a Surgeon database lists members of the ACS including Fellows and Associate Fellows. The tool can assist you in finding a qualified surgical specialist who is either a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) or working towards their Fellowship. The letters “FACS” after a surgeon’s name indicates that he or she is a Fellow of the ACS. Fellows are board-certified surgeons whose education, training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct are reviewed and consistent with the high standards of the ACS. Not all surgeons are accepted as Fellows, and some surgeons choose not to become Fellows.
