As a dedicated husband and father of four, my family remains the central pillar of my life, profoundly shaping both my personal and professional endeavors. My career is distinguished by a deep commitment to the compassionate care of individuals facing the complex challenges of obesity. My surgical journey commenced in the United Kingdom, where I had the privilege of receiving training under the tutelage of some of the most revered surgeons in the field. This rigorous foundation culminated in my induction as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, an honor that signifies a milestone in my pursuit of surgical excellence. Continuing my academic and professional growth, I pursued further specialization in the United States, completing a residency that led to my certification as a general surgeon. My commitment to advancing surgical knowledge and practice was further demonstrated through a comprehensive two-year fellowship in bariatric and metabolic surgery, supplemented by an additional year focused on mastering the intricacies of surgical endoscopy. In addition to my clinical practice, I am passionately involved in the academic sphere, holding professorships at several leading teaching hospitals. My role as an educator allows me to mentor the next generation of medical professionals, offering guidance to medical students and residents as they navigate the complexities and demands of surgical practice. Outside of my professional commitments, I seek balance through travel, swimming, and running. My family and I share a deep appreciation for literature, which enriches our lives together. Furthermore, my linguistic proficiency in French and Arabic, along with a working knowledge of Spanish, enables me to connect meaningfully with a diverse and multicultural patient population, thereby enhancing the depth and reach of my medical practice.
