Dr. Margenthaler, assistant professor of surgery, is board-certified in surgery and fellowship trained in breast diseases. Her clinical interests include breast cancer, especially in women 40 and under. She is a breast reconstruction liaison and adept at sentinel lymph node biopsy. She also performs ductoscopy and other intraductal approaches to breast diseases. Her research interests include the development of minimally invasive staging procedures for axillary staging, breast cancer disparities, and breast cancer outcomes. She is a member of the Siteman Cancer Center and is the current Missouri State Chair for the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer. She also serves as the program director for the breast fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine.
