Dr. Raut is a Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, Associate Surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Surgery Director of the Center for Sarcoma and Bone Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He is the Program Director of the Dana-Farber/Partners Cancer Care surgical oncology fellowship. Dr. Raut specializes in the care of soft tissue sarcomas. He has been a principal investigator or co-investigator on several sarcoma clinical trials and has R01 funding for laboratory research aimed at reducing local recurrence after sarcoma surgery. He is a regularly invited speaker to academic national and international meetings. He is the Sarcoma Section Editor for Cancer and the Sarcoma Section Editor for Annals of Surgical Oncology and is a member of the NCCN GIST Task Force, the NCI GIST Task Force, and the AJCC Sarcoma Task Force.
