Dr. Katerina Gallus is an experienced and accomplished board certified plastic surgeon who enjoys the opportunity to impact patients’ lives in a positive way via the ever-evolving science and technology in modern plastic surgery. Dedicated to serving others, she began her education with a Bachelor of Science from Duke University while on academic and ROTC scholarships. She pursued her dream of becoming a doctor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. She completed General Surgery Residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. Although achieving board certification in general surgery was a milestone, Dr. Gallus went on to pursue her dream of training in the field of Plastic Surgery. She completed her Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. In 2006, Dr. Gallus returned to the Naval Medical Center San Diego double boarded in Plastic Surgery and General Surgery. She deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom at a forward base in Afghanistan, providing immediate surgical trauma support to our wounded soldiers and sailors. A member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Aesthetic Society, and the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, she is a contributing voice in mentoring young plastic surgeons. She is the Chair of the Women’s Plastic Surgery committee of the ASPS. A role model, she also served as Chair of ASPS Ethics Committee. Dr. Katerina Gallus is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has over a decade of experience in cosmetic breast and body surgery, facial rejuvenation and non invasive treatments. She and her team strive to create positive surgical journey for every patient at Restore SD Plastic Surgery in La Jolla, CA.
