Andreas M. Kaiser, MD FACS FASCRS EBSQ Coloproctology, is Professor of Surgery and Chief of the Division of Colorectal Surgery at the City of Hope National Medical Center (NCI-CCC). Prior to that, he was Professor at USC and temporarily served as Acting Chairman of the Department of Colorectal Surgery of the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California from 2008-2009. The Division of Colorectal Surgery at City of Hope National Medical Center (NCI-CCC) is a premier unit of academic colorectal specialists in Southern California, all of whom are fellowship-trained and board-certified by the ABCRS or the EBSQ. The physicians at the Department provide a comprehensive and interdisciplinary treatment and have nationally recognized expertise managing: - cancer (e.g. primary, recurrent cancers, palliative setting) - inflammatory bowel disease (e.g. ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, C-diff colitis) - benign disorders of the colon, rectum (e.g. diverticulitis, constipation, rectal prolapse, etc) - benign disorders of the anus (e.g. hemorrhoids, fissure treatment, fecal incontinence, ectopic anus, including complex anal reconstructive surgery, etc). Andreas M. Kaiser, MD FACS FASCRS offers all modern techniques in the field of colorectal surgery, including robotic and laparoscopic surgery, extensive resections, continent ileostomy (Kock pouch, T-pouch), stapled hemorrhoidectomy (PPH), and he is one of only a few surgeons in California who are credentialed to implant the artificial bowel sphincter for severe fecal incontinence. Most recently, he has added the transanal endoscopic microsurgery (TEM) and robotic TAMIS to the services offered to patients with rectal polyps or early forms of rectal cancer.
