Biography

Hello, I am Virgilio George a colon and rectal surgeon at the Medical University of South Carolina where I am an associated professor of surgery, I treat patient with issues related to the colon and rectal, including colon and rectal cancer, anal cancer inflammatory bowel disease including: ulcerative colitis and crohn’s disease, anorectal disorders and other colon rectal conditions including: diverticular disease and pelvis floor disorders. I understand that it can be very stressful to be a patients and I believe that a holistic and completed understanding it is important to make proper diagnosis and treatment decision; particularly in the setting of complex disease I aspire to delivery compassionate and tailor care to each of my patients, my expertise in minimal invasive surgical techniques in laparoscopy and robotic surgery as well as skills in restorative in colon rectal procedures, particularly in the treatment of rectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease; highlight my dedication to providing effective stay of the art surgical care If you need treatment or screening for a colon rectal condition my goal is to give you the best service and experience possible.
