Prof Jerry Godfrey Makama is a Professor/Consultant General and Trauma Surgeon and former Head of Surgery, Kaduna State University, Nigeria. A member of several National and International professional organizations. Dr Jerry has published over 60 peer-reviewed publications and former Editor-in-chief of the Nigerian Journal of Surgical Research [www.journalonweb.com/njsr] currently Editor-in-Chief of Archives of Medicine and Surgery [www.journalonweb.com/archms]and Assistant Editor, Journal of West African College of Surgeons . He holds masters in public health [ABU], Master of Science in Trauma Sciences [QMUL], a fellow of several Surgical Colleges including the West African College of Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, International College of Surgeons and International Society of Surgery. His professional interest includes Trauma and trauma development in Nigeria, Critical Care, and Medical Education. He has mentored and continue to mentor Medical students, Surgical trainee and young surgeons in Nigeria.
