Ahmad M. Hider is a general surgery resident at the University of Colorado Anschutz and an aspiring transplant surgeon. He received his B.S. in Biomolecular Science from the University of Michigan and his MPhil in Translational Biomedical Research from the University of Cambridge as a Trinity Hall Bateman and Mann Scholar. He graduated with distinction in research, medical education, and service from the University of Michigan Medical School, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha and a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He served as a Clinton Global Initiative University Scholar for his work on creating a global cystic fibrosis patient registry in low-middle income countries, used to identify best sites for treatment allocation and identifying eligible surgical lung transplant candidates. He was a former White House Intern within the Office of Science and Technology Policy. His work is included in the New England Journal of Medicine Catalyst, American Journal of Surgery, and Nature Cell Biology. He aspires to become a leader in academic surgery.
