Biography

Susana Fortich is a General Surgery Resident at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. Before starting her residency, she dedicated a year to investigating on COVID-19’s implications in pulmonary vasculature at Mayo Clinic. She has a strong interest in academic career development. Currently, she serves as chair of the membership committee for the Residents and Associates Society (RAS). Her interests include cardiothoracic surgery, global surgery, and public health.
