The American Cancer Society is one of the AJCC's 22 member organizations. Through our collaboration with organizations like the American Cancer Society, we are dedicated to providing current and reliable information about cancer surveillance, treatment, and supportive care for people with cancer and their caregivers.

In their Cancer Basics resource, the American Cancer Society provides answers to some of the basic questions about cancer, such as what it is, what some of the common signs and symptoms are, and how many people it affects.
